KILO
Hālau Kupukupu kicked off 2021 with the launch of the Alaukawai 3.0 Independent Innovation Pathways to elevate kumu-driven innovation as a strategic priority for transforming our kula. Even amidst the ever-evolving climate of teaching during a pandemic, 17 educators representing 14 different projects across K-12 are voluntarily engaging in research and development projects that harness their individual curiosities while advancing 'Ōiwi Edge learning and teaching in service to our learners.
The pathways experience offers synchronous sessions and asynchronous modules in Canvas, personalized wraparound coaching support in 'Ōiwi Edge innovation, and opportunities to collaborate with subject matter experts. Connected to the important work kumu are doing on the frontlines, the learnings garnered from each 'Ōiwi Edge independendent innovation project will inform a larger body of work for our campus, reframing our position as informers of global indigenous education.
