HOʻOPAʻA

While there are various innovation processes we could readily adopt, 'Ōiwi Edge compels us to build our way forward, grounded firmly in our unique mission and in the learning needs of our students. With this kuleana and to build trust, engagement, and ultimately, capacity for experimental work, it was essential to design and describe the discipline and methodology of our R&D process, its core elements, and how the elements interact.

MO'OKŪ'AUHAU
Launched in September 2018 as the inaugural task force of Alaukawai’s R&D engine, this project began with the question, “What is an 'Ōiwi Edge innovation process?”
Still active and ongoing, this project aims to articulate a framework that structures and systematically implements the research, design, and testing of new models, practices, and products that exemplify our 'Ōiwi Edge identity at Kamehameha Hawai‘i.
