As part of a verdant forest, the presence of 'ie'ie indicates strength and well-being. A forest plant that often thrives in lofty places upon 'ōhi'a as its host, is a sign of a healthy forest, drenched and lush. Hālau 'ie'ie is named to hold the place of this aerial plant ensuring that our kauhale is continually verdant and thriving.
Hālau 'Ie'ie contributes to the shared work of Alaukawai's dual operating system by supporting the scaling and implementation of evidence-based practices in ‘Ōiwi Edge learning and teaching.
